Evangelical Protesters Are Demanding That Employees of a ‘Metaphysical’ Shop in Florida Find God

It’s the great battle between heaven and people who smell like incense.

Every town over a certain size has at least one store that can accurately be described as “witchy.” This store might sell candles, tarot cards, patchwork clothing, esoteric books, but in general, these places are fairly harmless (and a good place to hang posters for your punk rock show or stick-and-poke tattoo studio).

While most people would look at a store like that as a novelty, some see it as a sign that the devil is coming out to play. This is the case with the Spiral Circle Bookstore in Orlando.

Browsing their website, it seems like a normal place where one can buy witchy products. However, according to local evangelicals, it’s a store marked by the Beast — and so, they’ve been actively protesting it by telling employees to find Christ.

How about you guys get a job, huh?

@lov.psychic.circle So… 40 evangelicals tried to take over our metaphysical shop today. Had to lock the door, and then they started singing outside. Ended up in a convo about the Creator of All That Is vs. their belief system. Mystic vs. Evangelical—how do you think it went? #MetaphysicalShop #MysticVsEvangelical #SpiritualityVsReligion #ReligiousEncounter ♬ original sound - Misti Miller

@lov.psychic.circle This is why so many of us still hesitate to share our gifts. The witch wound runs deep—centuries of persecution, judgment, and fear… and it’s still happening today. When 40 evangelicals showed up outside, I felt it in my bones. The psychic wound is real. Safe spaces matter.✨ #MysticVsEvangelical #WitchWound #PsychicWound #SpiritualityVsReligion #ReligiousPersecution ♬ original sound - Misti Miller
